He served as Israel Desk Director at the Joint Distribution Committee's Headquarters in New York and as the Israeli community representative of the Jewish Federations of Baltimore, Los Angeles, Houston, and Central New Jersey for Project Renewal.

Mara has a graduate degree in Social Work and a wealth of experience in fundraising for nonprofits in Israel and in the United States. She is experienced in working with individuals, groups, and communities in the areas of care for the elderly, mental health, rehabilitation, community organization, and leadership development, particularly new immigrants and people with special needs. As a senior consultant, Mara's expertise is in fostering relationships with foundation representatives and bridging the distance between the organization's needs and the funder's wishes. Additionally, she is skilled at developing structured methods for measuring results, so as to reflect the direct impact of the funding.

Bracha's professional background is as a Speakers Bureau and Travel Coordinator. For 32 years she served in the Planning and Operations Division at Keren Hayesod, 14 of which she was the director of this division.
